Gratitude to Mother Earth, sailing through night and day —
and to her soil: rich, rare, and sweet
in our minds so be it

Gratitude to Plants, the sun-facing light changing leaf
and fine-root hairs; standing still through wind
and rain; their dance is in the flowing spiral grain
in our minds so be it

Gratitude to Air, bearing the soaring Swift and the silent
Owl at dawn. Breath of our song
clear spirit breeze
in our minds so be it

Gratitude to Wild Beings, our brothers teaching secrets,
freedoms, and ways; who share with us their milk;
self-complete, brave, and aware
in our minds so be it

Gratitude to Water: clouds, lakes, rivers, glaciers;
holding or releasing; streaming through all
our bodies salty seas
in our minds so be it

Gratitude to the Sun: blinding pulsing light through
trunks of trees, through mists, warming caves where
bears and snakes sleep — he who wakes us –
in our minds so be it

Gratitude to the Great Sky
who holds billions of stars — and goes yet beyond that –
beyond all powers, and thoughts
and yet is within us –
Grandfather Space.
The Mind is his Wife.

so be it.

Mahala, How sweet to hear your voice. Technology is indeed wonderful! I have a grateful spirit today, and I so enjoyed this prayer. The part about the water especially reminded me of floating in the blue, blue ocean when I lived on Maui and how deeply cleansing that was. Thank you for awakening that memory for me. I hope you have had a wonderful Thanksgiving day.
    Hugs,
    Ann

Dear Mahala thanks for this nice gratitude.
I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving.
It is nice to be grateful for all the nice
things we can enjoy of life.
I see your video but the voice is low.
    Thanks Mahala.

Ann ~ Floating in a blue, blue ocean in Maui sounds like the most complete bliss I can imagine at this moment. Cleansed by salt-water, staring up at a spacious sky. What a dream! Especially on this hazy gray day in upstate New York. Mother Nature is showing different colors here.

Virginia ~ I am having difficulty hearing the video today, too. I think the Viddler company has changed something. Just below where the video shows, there are time numbers 00:00 and just to the right of that is a little sound box youcan click to raise the volume. I had to do that and raise the volume on my computer. I hope that will work for you.

Hazel ~ YES. I came to The Mind is his Wife and was completely blown away.

    Love to all of you.
