Three Conscious Breaths

So many people have an interest in meditation, but they either don’t know how to meditate or are afraid it requires too much time to practice.

What: I’ll teach you genuine, beneficial practices you can do three conscious breaths at a time. We’ll explore being in the moment, working with difficult emotions, discovering different qualities of the breath and subtle qualities of awareness.

Why: Because for meditation to transform you, you have to do it, not think about it. I honestly believe three conscious breaths is enough to get you started and experiencing the benefits of meditation. For some of you, it may be all the practice you need.

Four Kinds of Giving

Did you know you can give more than money? Here are four powerful ways to practice generosity in daily life.
Featuring: How I gave the Dalai Lama over 1 million dollars, and what happened next.

What: When when we think of giving we tend to think of material gifts and financial donations. However, there are other ways of expressing generosity. Offered with good heart these can be even more powerful to give and to receive.

This program will cover four kinds of giving, including the transcendent practice of generosity. But we’re not talking dreamy idealism. The program will cover practical, down-to-earth methods to put into action.

Why: I believe we’re “wired” for generosity. We need to give. We flourish when we contribute. Part of us deflates if we feel our gifts are not received. When our generosity is locked up inside us — we don’t have enough dollars or time to give — the contraction hurts. If you’re feeling any strain of money, love or well-being it’s particularly essential to keep generosity flowing.

Bonus: Ask me and I’ll tell you how I gave over one million dollars to the Dalai Lama when I was under enormous financial stress. I’ll tell you how I did it and the amazing, unexpected results.

May You Be Happy

An exploration in loving-kindness meditation. Make friends with your thoughts and emotions and discover a current of joy.

Including: For years I misunderstood the instructions and did the practice the wrong way. I want to tell you how that became a great blessing.

What: Loving-kindness meditation comes from the Buddhist tradition, but its practice is universal in scope. With great tenderness and awareness we make wishes for happiness, ease, and other blessings. We wish these first for ourselves, then extend them to ever widening circles of life.

Why: If we want happiness, if we want to offer love and compassion towards ourselves and those experiencing suffering, we need to be firmly established in joy. Loving-kindness meditation is about making friends with our thoughts and emotions and the people who make up our world. We connect gently and deeply, cultivating an expanding sense of care for ourselves and all beings.

Bonus: For many of us, thinking “May I be Happy,” brings down an avalanche of difficult emotions. Based on need, we’ll do at least one full session or even a mini-program on practicing loving-kindness beginning with ourselves.
